WARRANTY & SERVICES

ADB warrants that at the time of purchase and for the duration of this Warranty, the ADB I-Can set-top box (the Product) will be materially free from defects in material or workmanship and shall conform to ADB’s Specifications.

 

We offer the following warranty for all products and services sold:


Description Length
Warranty on newly purchased set-top box  24 months
Warranty on repaired set-top boxes  3 months

 

The warranty will be void if:

 

 small_bullet  The warranty period has expired;

 small_bullet  Receipt of purchase is not delivered with the set-top box, preventing the Service Centre from identifying the date of purchase;

 small_bullet  There is physical evidence of mistreatment of the product (i.e. dropped, physically damaged, excessively dirty and dusty, corroded,                         overheated, flooded);.

 small_bullet  Where inspection reveals signs of voltage surges, short circuit, lightning strike, fusion or power surge (e.g. discoloured components,                     burnt track);

 small_bullet  The product has been opened by any person not authorised to perform service;

 small_bullet  The label with Serial Number has been removed, lost or damaged rendering it unreadable.

 

In-warranty services

ADB will repair your set-top box free of charge if the warranty has not yet elapsed and there is no sign of tampering, vandalism or other external influences (flooding, electrical power surges etc) that may have damaged the set-top box.

The warranty period lasts 24 months from the time of purchase. It is thus of utmost importance that you provide us with your receipt of purchase to prove that the box is in warranty. Set-top boxes returned without receipt of purchase are treated as out of warranty and a repair fee will be charged.

Set-top boxes that have been damaged due to external influences not attributable to ADB will also be treated as out of warranty product. If still repairable the service centre will charge a repair fee. In some instances were a repair is impossible (e.g. due to vandalism or where the box was flooded with liquid) the service centre will return the box in its current state and charge a handling fee (prices can be found under Service Charges).

For all warranty period (2 year), if you require service for one of the models above, please bring it back to the store where you bought it without accessories, don’t forget the receipt for the warranty; they will manage all support issues.

The retail store will have to contact and send the STB to our official distributor ZAP. Usually support takes 7-10 working days.

In the event that your set-top box requires repair during its warranty period, bring it, with its power supplier unit, its remote control and the receipt for the warranty, to one of our certified service collection points

Out of warranty services

Currently ADB does not offer out of warranty services after 2 years from the purchase date. We are exploring alternative services that will be available the the coming months.
